Hey, everyone. This is Radhika. I am not a professional blogger, but I mainly write about books. If you want reviews of good books, you'll find it all here. Remember, books will always be by your side." The world of books is the most remarkable creation of man. Nothing he builds lasts forever. Monuments fall, nations perish, civilizations grow old and die out and after an era, new races build others." They transport me to a different world and I hope it is the same with you too. HAPPY READING !

Hello everyone ! I am back after a long time with a new blog that is about one of my favourite series of novels - Inkheart. It consists of three novels - Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath.
These opening lines certainly compelled me to read this book👇
Inkheart has been made into a major motion picture starring one of my favourite actors - Brendan Fraser. Here's the link to the trailer of this movie.👇
So after watching this, you may have got an idea about the story.
Yes, it is a story in which the protagonist Mortimer Folchart ( a book binder) has an ability to read out characters from a story into the real world. He has a really wonderful voice and could bewitch anyone. But I must tell you, that cost him a lot in his life. The main problem was that once he reads out a character from a book, a person from the real life will be trapped inside the book. When he reads aloud, his wife suddenly disappears and he sees a weird looking man outside his house. He was Dustfinger ( a fire dancer from the other world ) At that point of time he comes to know about this gift. Hence, he was called Silvertongue ( maybe meaning someone with a bewitched tongue). But he realizes that his wife (Resa) is no more in this world. She has gone to another world. This was the INKWORLD.
This book almost makes you wish to become a Silvertongue. But what if I read out characters like Voldemort, The White Witch or worse still having no control over who you read in and out.
Now with Dustfinger, in came a new character into the world - Capricorn. He was a fire raiser in the city of Ombra in the INKWORLD. In the real world he became the commander of some fire raisers including Basta and some people, with his mother - Mortola.
Dustfinger wanted to go back to his world back to his wife and his children and so, his aim was to find Mo (as Mortimer was fondly called ) and request him to read Dustfinger back. Capricorn wanted to find the copies of the book Inkheart from which he had been read out and destroy all of them so that no one ever can send him back.
One boy, from the Tales from the Thousand and One Nights was read out by Mo when they were all kidnapped by Capricorn.
In the story this book, Inkheart is written by an author Fenoglio.
Meanwhile, Mo lives with his daughter Meggie and they both travel from place to place to repair old and worn out books. Meggie is very fond of him as he had raised her since she was a baby and loved her a lot. His aim was to find a copy of Inkheart so that he could try to read out his wife back from the Inkworld. Isn't the story exciting ?
Yes, it is a fantastic book and it almost compelled me to read it day and night. The story gets more and more interesting. Now I would love to recommend this book to you all. I can assure you that it's a very captivating book and you would love it.
I will soon put up a blog about the second book, till then grab this book and try to read it.
Land of Oz Oz stories (a series of 14 books) are a wonderful and absolutely adventurous series recommended to children to be read. I had also been told by my mother that these stories are worth reading. So, I got the first book of the series from my school library. I was in 7 th standard and I had completed this book in 7 days (of course because I was not such an avid reader back then). The story which I read was about a girl named Dorothy with her dog Toto. It was about a magical and fictional place, which no one knew about called the Land of Oz. Dorothy and Toto landed up in this place ( how, let it be a surprise for you all to read). I actually enjoyed the fact that this place was full of magic and wonderful creatures no one could ever have thought about. The author, Mr. Frank Baum had written in almost every book that maybe this would be the last book of this series. But, fan base of this series, the children forced him to keep writing more books by giving him ideas and suggestion
Hello Everyone ! I am back again with a new blog which will enhance your knowledge and I am sure you will surely be compelled to read it till the end. It is about some facts of books which I am sure very few know about. So don't just scroll down but make sure to read it thoroughly. I had read about these facts in TINKLE- TELL ME WHY (Books that shaped the World). Since the time, the first printing press was invented by Johannes Gutenberg some amazing books have been written. Here are a few of them. 1. A book written with an eyelid - Can you think of someone who has written a book by blinking his eyelid? Yes, and its Jean Dominique Bauby. He had a stroke that put him into a coma. He woke up after 20 days and only some movement in his head and eyes remained. Then, he started writing a book. An assistant would read out alphabets and Bauby would blink his left eyelid to show his choice. Every word took about 2,00,000 blinks. This book is 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly' and
An exciting concept wants me to grab all the 3 books and read it at once
